Joyce M. (Kirk) Demers, 91, of Goffstown, died October 7, 2022, at St. Teresa Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in St. Stephen’s, New Brunswick on November 6, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Elva (Larson) Kirk.  She was a graduate of St. Stephen High School, class of 1948.  Joyce moved to Manchester in 1951 and worked for several textile companies.  She was then employed as a shipping clerk for Hillsborough County Nursing Home for 17 years before retiring in 1992.

Joyce enjoyed time spent wintering in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida with her late husband Armand for over 20 years.  She also enjoyed reading, cooking and shopping.

Joyce was very endearing and enjoyed getting to know people and what they were doing..  Above all else, she will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, step mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Joyce was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Armand W. Demers, in 2022.

Surviving family members include her three step children; Patricia M. Demers of Peabody, MA, Daniel P. Demers and wife Tressor of Goffstown and Paul A. Demers and wife Debbie of Weare; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Joyce was also predeceased by both parents; and two brothers, Donald and Gordon Kirk.

SERVICES:  There are no calling hours.  All services will be private to family only, at a later date.  Joyce will be laid to rest with her husband at NH State Veterans Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to:  St. Jude’s Research Hospital for Children, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
