She was born in Manchester on August 13, 1936 to Frederick and Wilma (Roberts) Leafe. She graduated from Central High School and was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Mrs. Dakoulas was the bar manager at the Chateau Restaurant in Manchester for 40 years. She had also worked at Southern New Hampshire University, the Union Leader and Memorial High School in the cafeteria.
She enjoyed time spent with her family, and her trips to Aruba and the beach.
She was married to James A. "Chilly" Dakoulas, who died in 2007.
IN HER LIFE: The family includes six children, Arthur Dakoulas of Raymond, Kevin Dakoulas and Stephanie Dakoulas both of Manchester, Mark Dakoulas and his wife, Elizabeth, of Hartland, VT, James Dakoulas Jr. of Auburn, and Scott Dakoulas of Manchester; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Natalie McDonald and Janet MacDougall both of Goffstown, Sandra Duriga and her husband, Peter, of Bedford, and Jaye Aither of Exeter; three brothers, Donald Leafe and his wife, Lou, of Litchfield, Stephen Leafe and his wife, Lorette, of Manchester, and Kenneth Leafe and his wife, Paula, of Jupiter, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Betty Clayton, and by a brother, Frederick "Buddy" Leafe.
Memorial prayers were held on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. Rev. Andrew Mahalares officiated.
