Julie Ann Gallo

July 26, 1936 — December 1, 2025

Dover

Julie (Faucon) Gallo, 89, of Dover, NH formerly of Bedford, NH died December 1, 2025, after a period of declining health. Born in Everett, MA on July 26, 1936, she was the daughter of Albert F Faucon and Helen (Biase) Faucon. She attended Revere High School and was a longtime resident of the oceanside community of Beachmont, MA. She earned her credentials as an Executive Assistant through her secretarial education and enjoyed a career lasting 40 years. She adored her family and friends from her hometown; especially the Stanton family with her “sisters” Janie, Carolyn, Susan and Julie. Many family reunions, especially in Florida, were enjoyed together; Julie’s heart was always warm when she was around them.

Julie lived each day with unwavering devotion to the Lord, her entire family, her countless friends and to her country. She was an extremely dedicated military spouse, mother and grandmother supporting 3 generations of Marines and Navy service members for over 60 years. She loved traveling, visiting, and babysitting her 7 grandchildren, sometimes clear across the country. Together with her husband Walter, they never failed to attend graduations, commissioning ceremonies, confirmations, birthdays, first communions, or athletic games. One of her favorite things to do was teach them how to make pasta and various other Italian recipes to complement Julie’s tremendous Italian cooking which was her gift to so many. Her Italian food was enjoyed by all who knew her to include family, the Benedictine Monks, and multiple generations of her children’s friends; all of whom knew that Julie’s home was always open with a seat at the table or standing in the corner with a plate because the house was so full. Julie was also an avid Patriots fan and insisted that there be no grill at our tailgate parties, just bowls of hot pasta and good red wine.

All conversations about Julie centered around her love and gracious generosity, she was kind to everyone she met. These conversations quickly lead to her love of good wine and her famous eggplant parmesan, steak braciole, ziti with meatballs, and salad in a pita pocket. The memories that Julie created around the dinner table remain indelible for all who knew her.

Julie was very active in her longtime Bedford, N.H. community where she helped raise her four children with her husband Walter of 65 years. She was a longtime parishioner at Saint Elizabeth Seton Parish. She was her husband’s loyal partner throughout her entire life as they remained active in their community. One of the highlights is the annual Bedford Rotary Club’s pasta night at the school. This was an annual fundraising dinner for which the community waited in line for hours while Julie was making her spaghetti sauce and meatballs in a pan so big that she needed a step stool to stir! Julie was very involved with the Palace Theater and supported events that raised funds for the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation.

She was a dedicated and loyal partner to her husband as they both enjoyed 60+ years of being an active and adored couple within the Saint Anselm College community. St. Anselm honored them both, very fittingly, with the dedication of the “Gallo Cafe” in the Student Center complex. Julie was all about giving back and making people feel accepted and loved. No better place to carry Julie’s love forward than eating and socializing in the Gallo Café.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Walter J. Gallo Sr, and her daughter Helen Bryan.

Family members include her children; Helen Gallo Bryan(deceased) and husband David of Charlestown, MA, Walter J. Gallo Jr and wife Tammy of Roseville, CA, Geoffrey A Gallo Sr and wife Kathleen of Stratham, NH, Kara M Fountain and husband Steve of Meredith, NH; seven grandchildren, Lindsey Clark and husband Rob, Staff Sergeant Geoffrey Gallo Jr USMCR, Wade Gallo, Eric Sabean Jr and his wife Sam, Emily Mancuso and husband Cristian, Daniel Bryan and Oliver Bryan and two great grandchildren Ryelan and Ryott, and Julie’s brother Albert S Faucon and his wife Nancy.

The Gallo family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at the Residence at Silver Square in Dover, NH. Julie loved all of them and they each had total devotion to making Julie’s final 3.5 years happy and comfortable. In Julie’s final weeks, the medical staff from Wentworth Hospice were also incredibly devoted to Julie’s care, and we wish to extend our gratitude to all of them.

A funeral mass will be held at the Saint Anselm College Abbey Church on Monday, December 8th at 10:00am followed by a reception at the Grand Hotel adjacent to the Bedford Village Inn at 1pm. A private Christian burial will be held at the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen NH on a later date. In lieu of flowers, all donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Julie’s name.
