Sister Juliette Lambert, CSC, 101, of 357 Island Pond Rd., Manchester, died March 30, 2004, at her residence after a brief illness.
Born in Manchester, November 27, 1902, she was the daughter of Gratia and Virginie (Hamel) Lambert.
She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Holy Cross in 1930 and made her final profession in 1937. She earned a B.S. degree in culinary arts from Rivier College in Nashua. She served the Congregation for 74 years.
Sister Juliette taught elementary school in Nashua, Newmarket, Manchester, and Somersworth, NH. She also taught in Springfield, MA and North Grosvenordale, CT.
While retired at St. George Manor, she celebrated her 100th birthday. The celebration was highlighted by the presence of Mayor Robert Baines and a representative from Gov. Jeanne Shaheen's office.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday March 2, 2004 in the chapel of St. George Manor. Burial was in St. Augustin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Development Office of the Sisters of Holy Cross, 377 Island Pond Rd., Manchester, 03109.
