Juliette Richard PM

Born in Dover on April 4, 1909, she was the daughter of Julien and Esther (Legendre) Richard. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in 1928, made her first profession in 1931 and her final profession in 1936.

She earned a bachelor's degree in music from Rivier College in Nashua and later studied nursing.

Sr. Juliette taught music at parochial schools in New Hampshire and Rhode Island. She was a founding member of St. Marie Infirmary in Manchester in 1959, then served on the staff at Rivier College 36 years as a nurse, house mother and caregiver. She transferred to St. Joseph Residence, Manchester in 1999.

The family includes a brother, Roger Richard of Murphys, CA; two sisters, Justine Wagner of Addison, VT and Cecile Capistran of Manchester; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

IN HER LIFE: She will be remembered as a dedicated, caring and joyful person.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday, September 24, 2009 in St. Marie Residence. Burial was in Presentation of Mary Cemetery, Hudson.
