Kathleen "Kathy" Ann (Murphy) Joyce, 55, of Lake Worth, FL, formerly of Manchester, NH died on November 2, 2005, after a brave battle with Leukemia.

Born in Salem, MA on April 12, 1950, she was the eldest daughter among seven loving siblings. She was a 1968 graduate of St. James High School in Salem, MA, and a 1969 graduate of Bay State Junior College of Business in Boston, MA.

She married her beloved husband, John "Jay" Joyce in 1973 and celebrated the birth of their daughter, Kellie Marie (Joyce) Spinney, in 1974. In 1977, the family moved to Manchester, NH, where Mrs. Joyce enjoyed a career in real estate for 15 years. In 1997, Mrs. Joyce and her husband relocated to South Florida where she worked for the Palm Beach County Sheriffs' Office as Support Staff Manager.

Mrs. Joyce enjoyed sunny Florida beaches, attending Mass at St. Matthew's Parish in Lake Worth, Saturday nights out with friends, summer vacations in York Beach, ME, coming home to New Hampshire for the holidays, and especially, carousel rides with her beloved granddaughter, Nina May Spinney. She touched many lives through the years. Those who worked with her became her friends, those she befriended became like family, and those who were fortunate enough to be her family, loved her dearly. Mrs. Joyce treated everyone with respect, kindness, and generosity. She was a woman with a purposeful soul and will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her devoted husband, John "Jay" Joyce of Lake Worth, FL; adoring daughter, Kellie Marie (Joyce) Spinney, son-in-law David Anthony Spinney, and granddaughter, Nina May Spinney, all of Stratham, NH; five brothers, Peter Murphy and wife, Susan, of Bradford, MA, Paul Murphy of Tamworth, NH, Mark Murphy and wife, Nancy, of Haverhill, MA; Joe Murphy of Wakefield, NH, Gerard Murphy and wife, Cindy of Chesapeake, VA; one sister, Mary Ann (Murphy) Gaff of Ipswich, MA; mother-in-law, Marie (Malloy) Joyce of Wakefield, MA; sister-in-law, Marie (Joyce) Duncan and brother-in-law James Duncan of York Beach, ME; several nephews and nieces.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday November 7, 2005 in St. Catherine Church, 207 Hemlock St, Manchester, NH. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
