Kathleen E. Thornton

Kathleen (Herod) Thornton, 63, died Nov. 3, 2006 in the Elliott Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born on July 25, 1943 and was the daughter of Franklyn Herod and Margaret (Cronin) Lambrou. She was a graduate of Central High School and earned her associates from Hesser in 2001.

Kathleen was a stay at home mom, after raising her family she went to work for Wal-Mart. She was an avid reader, had a love of history, and had an appreciation for politics. She was Selectmen for the city of Manchester in Wards 1 and 4 for over 15 years.

Family members include, four daughters, Kara Williams, Meaghan, Maura and Shaunna Thornton; two sisters, Mary Ann French, Susan MacDonald; four brothers, Franklyn, Jim, Donald and Gary Herod; Her step- mother Mary Herod; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her step-father Aristotle (Ted) Lambrou, on Oct. 22, 2006.

A Funeral Service was held Wednesday November 8, 2006 at the Church Of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 105 Windsong Ave. Manchester, 03104.

Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Donald St. Bedford.
