In 1962 Ken served for seven years in the United States Navy, most notably during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Following an honorable discharge, he received his Master Electrician License and began working as a plant electrician, for Gold Bond and later retiring from Sweetheart Plastics.
He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing with his sons and grandchildren. He will be missed.
Family members include his sons, Al Port, of Manchester, James Port, of Merrimack; 3 grandchildren; a brother Ted Port, of Iowa; a sister, Kathleen Port, of NB; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A service of remembrance was held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Lambert Funeral Home and Crematory, 1799 Elm St.
Burial took place on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at NH Veterans Cemetery.
