Kenneth W. Dodge, 72, of Manchester, died October 12, 2006, at the Elliot Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Rochester, NH, April 28, 1934, the son of Kenneth W. and Emma (Farnum) Fellows. He graduated from Spaulding High School in 1952 where he was president of his class. He later graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1956 where he was also president of his class.
He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1956 to 1961. He remained in the US Air Force Reserve until 1980 and retired as a Lt. Colonel.
Mr. Dodge worked for General Electric for 14 years. From 1980 until the present he was employed by AIG, American General, as an area manager.
He was a member of Southside Bible Fellowship.
He served on many boards over the years including the Alton Bay Christian Conference Center, the Dowling Park Retirement Village in Florida, and the McCrillis Eldridge Insurance Co, Newport, NH.
He enjoyed traveling with his wife and especially family gatherings.
He leaves his wife of 50 years, Jean (Tebbetts) Dodge of Manchester; his children, Sharon Lynn Belanger, and her husband Dan, of Hooksett, NH, Kimberly Jean Hoatson and her husband Tom, of York, ME, Kenneth W. Dodge and his wife Cheryl, of Palm City, FL; 7 grandchildren, whom he adored, Casey, Zachary, and Evan Hoatson, James and Elizabeth Belanger, and Olivia and Alexis Dodge; his mother, Emma Fellows of Dowling Park, FL; a sister, Patricia Northup of Dowling Park, FL; a brother, Ralph Dodge of Saratoga, CA; several nieces, nephews, and wonderful lifelong friends.
The funeral was held Monday October 16, 2006 at the Southside Bible Fellowship, 200 So. Jewett St., Manchester. Burial was in Rochester Cemetery, Rochester, NH, where a committal service took place Monday October 16, 2006.
