Kevin A. Hedges, 40, of Manchester, NH died December 4, 2005 surrounded by family and friends at his residence after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Perth Amboy, NJ on February 17, 1965, he was the son of Kelly and Margaret (Steinbaker) Hedges. He was a graduate of Pitman (NJ) High School in 1983 and had lived in Manchester for the past 17 years.
Mr. Hedges worked at Hitchiner Manufacturing Company for 10 years. He was a communicant of St. Pius X Church in Manchester.
The family includes his wife, Kris N. (Kelsey) Hedges of Manchester; four children, Danielle M. Lefebvre, Janelle S. Hedges, Isabelle M. Hedges and Michelle L. Hedges all of Manchester; his mother of Pitman, NJ; four sisters, Suzanne Dlabic of Perth Amboy, Monica Hedges of Pitman, NJ, Teresa Aragona of Hammonton, NJ and Connie Halloway of Exton, PA; a brother, Michael Hedges of Franklinville, NJ; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
IN HIS LIFE: He was a cherished husband and beloved father who loved life and enjoyed kidding around with family and friends. Kevin enjoyed going to karaoke and listening to country music. He liked playing horseshoes and had won a first place trophy in a competition.
He was a very involved assistant coach for his daughter's softball team. He loved camping and having cookout's with family and friends.
Kevin was loved by many for his good heart and good nature and was always willing to help anyone. He worked hard to provide for his family, even working a second job at Papa John's. In his spare time, he enjoyed repairing small engine machines and had hoped to someday open his own business.
He was predeceased by a brother, Dennis Hedges who had lived in Manchester. The family also includes his mother in law, Mary Kelsey of whom he took very good care, and countless friends.
Kevin was an inspiration to all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated December 9, 2005 in St. Pius X Church, corner of Candia Rd. and Sarto St., Manchester. After cremation, burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester.
