Kevin Joseph McMahon, 46, of Concord, NH, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026. Surrounded by his friends and family. Kevin was born to Mary Schwartz and Joseph McMahon.
He worked as a civil engineer at McFarland-Johnson, where he brought the same care and precision to his work that he brought to everything in his life. His passion for his work and for the people he worked for was ever present during his illness.
Kevin was happiest outdoors. Hiking, skiing, camping, rock climbing, playing golf, and biking were more than hobbies to him, they were how he felt most alive. He was an incredible cook who loved putting together a good meal for the people he loved or finding the next hidden gem restaurant. He was always adding to his list of places to try. He loved attending concerts and watching movies. He had the uncanny ability to recall a line from almost any film and use it, along with his quick wit, to make people laugh. Above all, Kevin cherished time spent with his family and friends.
Kevin is survived by his son, Elliot McMahon; his mother, Mary Schwartz, and stepfather, Thomas Schwartz; his father, Joseph McMahon, and stepmother, Carolyn McMahon; his sister and brother-in-law, Meghan and Art Martineau; his best friends, Nicholas and Katie Domenici and their children Maddie & Hadley that he loved so much, Justin Thomas, and Lani Burnham; his stepsister, Katherine DiFronzo, and her husband, Zach Golub; his stepbrother, Michael DiFronzo, and his wife, Cassie DiFronzo; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, coworkers, and friends.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on August 7, 2026, at Lambert Funeral Home in Manchester, NH, followed by a simple service. Family and friends are
welcome to stay and share a memory of Kevin afterward.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kevin’s memory to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Donation Link
