Kirk N. Demers, 65, of Hooksett, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 15, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.
He was born in the Grasmere section of Goffstown on August 27, 1952 to Wendell and Hermena (Pollard) Demers. He attended schools in Grasmere, Pinardville and Goffstown and graduated from Goffstown High School in 1971
Kirk owned and operated Demers Construction Company in Hooksett for many years. He loved nature and the fall foliage as well as gardening, logging, the outdoors and listening to country oldies. His favorite time was spent with his children, grandchildren and his beloved dog, Skye "baby girl".
He was predeceased by a son, Zachary Demers and a sister, Judith Demers Sullivan.
The family includes his wife of 41 years, Janyce A. (Robie) Demers of Hooksett; three daughters, Jill Demers Crawford and her husband, Charlie, of Hooksett, Kelly Demers Snow and her husband, Jonathan, of Bedford and Cara Demers Carr and her husband, Tom, of Highland Ranch, CO; six grandchildren, Gianna, Kyley, Colby, Ryan, Makenna and Andrew; and a sister, Wendy Demers of East Windsor, NJ.
A cemetery committal service was held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Head Cemetery, 16 Pleasant St., Hooksett.
