Laurence Antonia Desrochers Beaudry

Laurence Antonia Beaudry, nee Desrochers, left us after a brief illness, surrounded by her family, at Elliott Hospital. Laurence was born in the village of Ste Croix in Quebec. She married the love of her life, Oscar Beaudry, in 1946. Together, they had seven children and in-laws, Danielle Beaudry, Martha and Lance Nash of Paarl, South Africa, Dennis Beaudry, Pierre and Graciela Beaudry, Catherine Helie, Mark and Judi Beaudry of South Carolina, and David Beaudry and DD Roberts of Palo Alto, California; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She and Oscar lived in Washington, DC, Montgomery, AL, Oslo Norway and Limestone, ME before settling in Manchester. More than anything, Laurence valued the importance of family. She loved children and spent much of her life as a caretaker. She also had an adventurous side; hiking and climbing in the White Mountains, and in the Sierra Nevada, where she reached a high point near 14,000 feet on Mount Whitney at age 62.
A Memorial Service was held on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Memorial donations may be made to Blessed Sacrament Parish, 14 Elm St., Manchester, NH 03103.
