Laurence Donald Sott, 59, of Litchfield died peacefully and unexpectedly at his home on April 19, 2018.
Born in Lawrence, MA on June 17, 1958, he was the son of Donald L. and Mary Jane(Guiney) Sott, who preceded him in death. He was educated in the Lawrence school system and graduated from Lawrence High School.
Larry had most recently been employed by Steel Elements in Hudson, NH and was serving as the Director of Music for St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Bedford, NH.
He loved creating music, woodworking, and had the unique ability to fix just about everything. He will be remembered for his renowned sarcasm and his devotion to his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Family members include his wife of 22 years, Nancy (Stewart) Sott of Litchfield; his four daughters, Courtney Sott of Somerville, MA, Carolynne Goddard and husband Jeremy of Haverhill, MA, Michaella George and husband Sean of Merrimack, NH, Gabrielle Sott of Litchfield; his grandchildren, Deakon and Greyson George of Merrimack; his siblings, David Sott and wife Huguette of Salem, NH, Mark Sott and Ken Poirier of Watertown, MA, Justine Sott of Lawrence, MA; one niece, Samantha Sott of Derry; his step-mother, Beth Sott and step-brother, Sanford Freedman of Chelmsford, MA; many cousins and extended family.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Meetinghouse Road, Bedford.
