Laurette M. Chenard

Laurette M. (Gilbert) Chenard, 76, of Manchester, died January 22, 2003, at Villa Crest Health Care Center, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Manchester, July 25, 1926, she was a daughter of Leo and Alice (Daneault) Gilbert. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

Mrs. Chenard worked for Pearson's Jewelers for many years. She previously worked 18 years at Beauregard's in Manchester.

She was a former president of the Catholic War Veteran's Auxiliary. In addition she was a member of L'Association Canado Americaine, and Catholic Medical Center Associates.

She was a communicant of St. Marie Church.

She was married to Robert E. Chenard, who died in 1992.

Family members include 2 sisters, Blanche Gilbert and Lucille Charbonneau, both of Manchester; nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday January 25, 2003 in St. Marie Church. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
