She was born July 28, 1910, in St. Marc, Quebec, and was the daughter of Ernest and Rosa (Moreau) Duhamel. She had been a resident of Manchester the past 66 years.
Miss Duhamel retired in 1976 from Miss Jacques' School where she taught for many years. She also taught at various parochial schools in the Manchester area.
She had been a member of the former St. Therese Church for many years.
She was devoted to her faith in God. She loved children and was always devoted to their care and well being.
She leaves her adopted family, Diane and Richard Mathews, Carmel and Richard St. Gelais, both of Manchester, Pete & Valerie Boisvert, of Bedford, NH; Celeste, Lisa, Danielle, Angela, Melissa, Derek, Bridgette and Natalie.
Calling hours were held Sunday February 18, 2007 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated in July at a time to be announced.
Encryptment will be in Mount Calvary Mausoleum.
