Laurier J. Spenard

Laurier J. Spenard, 87, of Manchester, died on July 15, 2024 at Villa Crest Retirement Community, after a period of declining health.

Born on July 18, 1936, he was the son of the late Henry and Flore (Perroult) Spenard. He was educated in Manchester, attended St. Marie High School and served as a firefighter for the City of Manchester for 21 years before retiring in 1984.

Laurier loved spending time at the beach and in Florida. He was an avid golfer and sports fan. He was a dedicated family man and time spent with his family was what he most enjoyed, and with his dog Daisy. Above all else, he will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Laurier was predeceased by his beloved wife Nancy L. (Madden) Spenard and his daughter, Laurie Snyder, both in 2020.

Surviving family members include two sons, David Spenard and wife Ani Abruzzese of Manchester and Stephen Spenard of Portsmouth; a son-in-law, Ralph Snyder; six grandchildren, Jody Hitari, Sam Curran, Shawn Spenard, Scott Spenard, Shayanna Spenard and Ava Spenard; one great grandson, Evan Hitari; one great granddaughter, Alice Hitari: one sister, Sr. Jeannine Spenard, pm of Manchester; and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by both parents; and twelve siblings.

SERVICES: Calling hours are from 4pm to 7pm with a service in the funeral home beginning promptly at 7pm on Thursday, July 25th at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester, NH 03104.
