Leo Bowes

d. February 20, 2015

Leo "Jerry" Bowes of Madison, NH and Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Westford, MA died peacefully of February 20, 2015. Jerry and his loving wife Judi most recently resided in Manchester, NH.

Jerry was born on March 25, 1943 in Newton, MA, the son of Walter and Veronica (Ford) Bowes. He attended St. Mary's of Waltham High School where he was an extremely accomplished athlete. He then went on to receive his bachelor's degree from Saint Anselm College and a master's degree from Suffolk University. Jerry also served a tour during the war in Vietnam. Jerry had a long and successful career in sales where he made many friends.

Jerry will be most remembered for his unconditional love of his family and friends and his compassion to others. While raising his family in Westford, he was very involved in the community. Coaching, teaching skiing or CCD, volunteering at various school functions, you name it and he was there. He enjoyed spending his free time working in the yard, at the family's lake home, cheering on various sports teams and socializing with friends and family. His absence will be felt by many but his love will forever be in our hearts.

He leaves behind his loving wife Judi Bowes of Manchester; two daughters whom have been his pride and joy their entire lives, Jessica and her husband Rob Morin of Londonderry, NH, Kristen and her significant other Dan Stella of Stoneham, MA; one sister, Maryanne; a brother, Joe; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in St. Anselm Abby Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Hospice House, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
