Leo L. Dion

Leo L. Dion, 88, of Manchester, died January 20, 2003, at Elliot Hospital, after a brief illness.

Born in Manchester, October 8, 1914, he was a son of Cleophas and Clara (Mailhot) Dion. He was a lifelong resident of this city.

An electrician by trade, he once owned an electrical store in Manchester for several years.

He served as a representative in the NH State Legislature for several years.

He was very active member of St. George parish having served on the parish council and finance committee. He was also one of the organizers of the annual Tombola and Booster Club. In addition he was he was a member of the transition team for the twinning of St. George and St. Joseph parishes.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Albina (Desmarais) Dion in 1961, and by his son, Atty. Normand L. Dion in 1990.

Family members include his wife of 35 years, Therese F. (Keroack) Dion of Manchester; a brother, Rev. Maurice Dion of Kansas; nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday January 24, 2003 in St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
