Leo W. Plourde, 86, of Dundee, FL, died January 19, 2012 in Auburndale, FL after a long illness.

He was born in Manchester on September 26, 1925 to Wilfrid and Alice (Dupont) Plourde. He lived in Manchester most of his life and in Florida many years.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Plourde worked as a steam fitter for RC Peabody Plumbing and for Johnson Control for many years. He was a member of Local 131 Plumbers and Steam Fitters for 50 years.

He was predeceased by four siblings, Lorraine Plourde, Therese Vallee, Edward Plourde and Henry Plourde.

The family includes four sisters, Sr. Christine Marie Plourde, PM of Hudson, Madeleine Aucoin of Dundee, FL, and Claire Mathieu and Pauline Gagnon both of Manchester; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
