He was born in Athol, MA April 29, 1925 to Edmond and Helen (Hebert) Mallet. He lived in Canada for a time and returned to Athol, MA where he lived for several years. He later lived in Keene, NH for 50 years before moving to Bedford in 2002.
He served in the US Army during World War II.
Mr. Mallet was a retired barber and owned and operated Campus Barber Shop in Keene for many years.
He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Bedford.
He loved being a barber and many of his customers became lifelong friends. He also loved music, dancing, playing the jew's harp and was a car enthusiast. He especially loved his family and will be dearly missed.
He leaves his wife of 58 years, Lucy (Helie) Mallet of Bedford; two daughters, Debra J. Mahoney and her husband, Brian Mahoney D.M.D, of Bedford and Lisa Ann Mallet of Hooksett; his grandchildren, Justin Ethier, Lindsay Laplume, Olya, Alyana, and Rosa Mahoney; his step grandchildren, Sarah and Emily Mahoney; his great grandchildren, Aedina Ethier, Benjamin Laplume, Isabelle Laplume and Aubrey Ethier; a brother, Donald Mallet and his wife Lorraine of Orange, MA; two sisters, Hedwidge "Hedy" Brault and her husband Jean and Virginia Gleba, all of Athol, MA; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, May 28, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. Burial was at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph Cemetery, Keene, NH.
