Leon Breton, 80, of Auburn, died December 4, 2011. He was born in Manchester, December 15, 1930 to Leonello and Lena (Hashie) Breton.

He received his early education locally and was a graduate of St. Anthony High School. He was a member of the Class of 1952 from St. Anslem College.

In 1952 he took over ownership of the family business Hashie Movers, that later became affiliated with American Red Ball Movers. Leon retired in 1965.

His passion was sailing. Whether it was offshore, or in the Caribbean it was the place that he was the happiest. He was a member of the Massabesic Yacht club, and served as its Commodore for some time. He was a two term selectman from Ward 7 in Manchester. Leon was a member of the Manchester Jaycee's and was instrumental in the reviving of the Manchester Winter Carnival.

The family wishes all to pray for Leon as well as all sailors everywhere.

Family members include his wife, Phyllis (Bourassa) Breton, of Auburn; 2 brothers, Maurice Breton, of Manchester, Richard Breton, of Laconia; nieces, nephews.
