Leon M. Pilotte

Leon M. "Pete" Pilotte, 74, of Manchester, died April 5, 2003, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Manchester, July 29, 1928, he was the son of Oscar and Claudia (Vaillancourt) Pilotte. He was a lifelong resident of this city.

He was a graduate of Central High School, and served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Mr. Pilotte worked for the US Postal Service as a letter carrier in Manchester for many years.

An avid golfer, he had been a member of Intervale Country Club.

Family members include 3 brothers, Armand Pilotte of Florida, Henri Pilotte of Hooksett, and Richard Pilotte of Manchester; 6 sisters, Lucille Gagne, Blanche LaBrie, Irma Boucher, Rita Bernier, all of Manchester, Pauline Eafrati of Florida, and Yvette Searles of Manchester; his companion, Connie Richard of Manchester; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

After cremation, a memorial mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday April 8, 2003 St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave.

A committal service followed in Mount Calvary Mausoleum. Urn burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
