Leona Piper Larouche

Leona Piper Larouche, 87, of Manchester died August 22, 2008 at her residence following a long illness.

She was born in Nashua, N.H. on November 7, 1920, and was the daughter of Leo and Amanda (Godin) Pontbriant and lived in Manchester for most of her life.

She worked 36 years for J.F. McElwain and was an avid reader.

Members of her family include two daughters, Jo-Ann Jordan of Manchester and Rita Ferguson of Bow, N.H.; three sisters, Laurette Thibeault of Boscawen, N.H., Pauline Dufoe of Nashua, N.H., and Rita Tessier of North Stratford, N.H.; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grand children and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours and a memorial service took place on September 6, 2008 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester. Reverend Gary Andy, VNA Hospice chaplin officiated.
