Leonard J. Ahern

Leonard J. Ahern, 88, formerly of Manchester, died February 6, 2002, at Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

Born in Manchester, November 13, 1913, he was the son of John and Mathilda (Gagnon) Ahern. He lived most of his life in Manchester.

He was an Army veteran.

Mr. Ahern worked for Manchester Transit Authority as a bus driver for many years.

Family members include a son, John D. Ahern of Casco, Maine; a daughter, Joan Wright-Reno of Concord; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday, February 8, 2002 in St. Raphael Church. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
