Leonard W. "Ted" Clark, 78, of Manchester, died August 31, 2008 at his residence.

Born December 19, 1929 in Concord, NH, he was the son of Phillip and Grace (Beaulac) Clark. He graduated from St. John's High School in Concord and attended St. Anselm College prior to joining the US Army Air Corps in 1948.

He participated in the Berlin Air Lift prior to his discharge from service in 1952.

Ted had been employed by AT&T for over 40 years before his retirement in 1995.

He had recently been attending Mass at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Bedford.

Family members include his wife of 53 years, Helene (Dowley) Clark of Manchester; his children, Kathleen Steindler and her husband Frank of New York, Mark Clark and his wife Susan of Hooksett, Matthew Clark and his wife Lynda of Manchester, Karen Tanona and her husband Michael of Newbury, MA, and Andrew Clark and his wife Heather of Merrimack; eleven grandchildren, Mariann, Tim, Dan, Kyle, Shannon, Brandon, Meghan, Birima, Gavin, Liam, and Bridget; two great-grandchildren, Alexis and Jacob; one sister, Beverly Newell of Florida; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A memorial reception was held in Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, Manchester, on Thursday, September 4, 2008. A Memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, September 5, 2008 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd, Bedford.
