He was born in Manchester on October 30, 1924, the son of Leonard and Isabel (Dykes) Langley. He was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Manchester West High School.
During WWII, he served in the US Army and was stationed in Europe. Prior to his honorable discharge, he met and married his wife Iris (Grafton) Langley on December 18, 1945 in Birmingham, England.
Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a senior underwriter for the New Hampshire Insurance Company for many years.
Leonard enjoyed reading, playing bingo and following Boston's professional sports teams. Above all else, he cherished the time spent with his family.
He was predeceased by his wife Iris (Grafton) Langley in 1990 and his brother Arnold Langley in 1924.
Family members include his daughters, Iris Christine Langley and her husband James Biron of Allenstown, Pamela Gelinas and her husband Paul of Manchester; six grandchildren, Erika Parent of Pembroke, Stuart Gelinas of Manchester, Aaron Blais of Concord, Vanessa St. Jean of Manchester; Travis Blais of Manchester, and Autumn Patton of Danville,Vermont; nine great-grandchildren, Austyn, Joshua, Isaac, Zoe, Havah, Xavier, Fern, Miriam, and Reagan; one sister, Isobel Brown of McCall, Idaho; several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Funeral services were private and at the convenience of the family.
