He was born on March 23, 1923 in Manchester, the son of Edward and Annie (Boisvert) Provencher. Lenny was a disabled veteran of WWII, serving in the European Theater of operations and earned a Distinguished Unit Badge and Victory Medal.
He was the beloved husband of Lucille (Baribeau) Provencher with whom he shared 65 years of marriage on May 30, 2015. He was the devoted father of Cindy Provencher and Daniel Provencher, both of Manchester. He was also the loving pepere to Ryan (pre-deceased), Collin, Britney, and Nathan Provencher. He leaves behind his great-grandchildren Greyson, Estelle, and Scarlett Provencher of Bedford.
Lenny, along with his wife, owned Kiddie Klub Day Care Center in Manchester for 17 years. He also worked at the JF McElwain Shoe Company upon retirement. He was an avid RV'er who travelled with his better half across the US. He enjoyed following the Red Sox, bowling, and working around his home. In April of 2014, he had the pleasure of participating in the "Honor Flight" trip to Washington, DC, which he felt was nothing short of amazing.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, June 4, 2015 in St. Catherine of Siena Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock Streets. Committal prayers and military burial honors followed in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
