Leonard Charles Sullivan

Leonard Charles Sullivan, 83, longtime resident of Bedford, NH died November 28th, 2018 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
Born in Wappingers Falls, NY on June 18, 1935, he was the son of Patrick and Lottie (O'Hanlon) Sullivan. He attended the St. Mary's Elementary School and Wappingers Central High School where he excelled in athletics. He also attended Penn State University.
He was the youngest and last surviving of eight children: Sisters - Margaret Sullivan (McCloskey), Agnes Sullivan (Carey); Brothers - Leo Sullivan, John Sullivan, William Sullivan, Joseph Sullivan and Gerald Sullivan.
Prior to retirement, Leonard was a business operations executive with IBM in charge of New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. In his 39-year career with IBM, he worked his way up from an entry level job in the mailroom to a leadership position in the company's Eastern Region.
He loved supporting the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and NY Giants. Long walks with family and friends, socializing at the Raphael Club, VFW and Ancient Order of Hibernians in Manchester were among his favorite pastimes. He served as a board member and President of the Marion High School Athletic Club, Framingham, MA. Len served as an advisor to United Way and The American Cancer Society. Above all else, he cherished spending time with his family, both immediate and distant relatives.
Family members include his wife Patricia (Taylor) Sullivan of Bedford; one daughter, Maureen Doyle of Bedford; one son, Michael and wife Laura (Michaud) Sullivan of Aldie, VA; his grandchildren, Seamus Doyle of Boston, Michael D. and Claire E. Sullivan, both of VA; many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at St. Raphael Church, Walker St, Manchester. Burial was in his family lot in at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, 11 Clinton St, Wappingers Falls, NY on Saturday, December 15, 2018.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester, assisted with the arrangements.
