Leonard W. Sweezy

Leonard "Bill" W. Sweezy, 68, of Manchester, died April 30, 2005, at the Elliot Hospital.

He was born in Walpole NH, on September 24, 1936, and was the son of Leonard and Carmelita (Milbery) Sweezy.

He was a graduate of Milford high school, and served in the United States Army. He was a truck driver for the former Hermsdorf Manufacturing Co., and belonged to the Teamsters Union. After retirement Bill worked for the Manchester Country Club and later started his own business specializing in painting and wallpapering. He was a member of the Derryfield Country Club and a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Parish.

Bill was a best friend to everyone. He touched many lives and lived to help others. His family and his grandchildren were the main focus of his life. Bill enjoyed the open road whether it was with his family or working most recently with his nephew Cam Sweezy. He was predeceased by his step parents, Herbert and Elizabeth Harding.

Family members include his wife of forty years Jacqueline (Henault) Sweezy, of Manchester; 2 daughters, Robin Maguire, of Providence RI, Vicky Sweezy, of Alton; a son Brett Sweezy, of Idaho; 5 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Geraldine Burns, of Manchester, Sally Roy, of Pinardville, a brother Cameron Sweezy of Manchester. a step brother Herbert "Butch" Harding, of Milford NH; a step sister, Judy Hakala, of Troy NH; several nieces nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated, Tuesday April 3, 2005 in St Catherine Church, Webster St, Manchester.

Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd. Manchester.
