Leslie R. Perkins, 82, of Manchester died June 27, 2005 at Elliot Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Nashua on February 9, 1923, he was the son of Fred and Ethel (Corbett) Perkins. He lived in Manchester most of his life.
During World War II he served in the US Navy.
He worked as a shipping and receiving manager for New Hampshire Plating Company for 32 years.
Mr. Perkins enjoyed camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
The family includes his wife of 50 years, Odile D. (Morin) Perkins of Manchester; a daughter, Cindy Graveline of Manchester; three brothers, Donald Perkins of Milford, Richard Perkins of Amherst and Kenneth Perkins of Merrimack; three sisters, Emma Gilmore of Brentwood, Alice Greening of Port Jervis, NY and Ethel Bates of Tuckerton, NJ; several nieces and nephews.
IN HIS LIFE: The family also includes three grandchildren, Jason Graveline, Crystal Graveline and Brian Graveline; two great grandchildren, Morgan Graveline and Taylor Graveline and a son in law, Gary Graveline.
A graveside service was held Friday July 1, 2005 at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Highway, Boscawen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VNA Hospice, 1850 Elm St., Manchester 03104.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester assisted the family with arrangements.
