She was born in Manchester on July 18, 1914, the daughter of Laurent and Henriette (Lamontagne) Talbot.
Prior to retirement, she had been employed as a stitcher at area shoe mills. Since her retirement, she had spent several thousand hours volunteering at the Elliot Hospital, where she loved to knit caps for newborns.
Her husband Armand Florand died in 1996. She was also predeceased by a daughter Annette Small and a son Paul Florand.
She was a communicant of Parish of the Transfiguration.
Members of her family include two daughters, Constance Young of Kansas and Lorraine Martel of Manchester; six sons, Armand Florand of Plant City, FL, Donald Florand of Manchester, Roger Florand of Goffstown, Ernest Florand of McDonald, NC, Joseph Florand of Manchester, and Raymond Florand of Florida; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Claire LeClerc of Manchester; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in the Parish of the Transfiguration on Saturday, January 31, 2009.
