Lillian M. Gates

Lillian M. (Marsh) Gates, 91, of Franklin died November 16, 2003 in Franklin Regional Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in New Bedford, MA on August 10, 1912, she was the daughter of Alphonse and Lillian (Holderness) Marsh. She lived in Falmouth, ME for 14 years and Hooksett for 35 years before moving to Franklin 3 years ago.

She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur L. Gates in 1976; a daughter, Barbara Riley in 2000 and a son, Roland Gates last month.

The family includes two sons, Kenneth Gates of Chico, CA and Allen Gates of Olean, NY; two daughters, Carolyn Gates of South Portland, ME and Lillian Aubertine of Boscawen; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

There are no services. Burial of cremated remains will be private.
