She was born in Franklin, NH on August 28, 1924, the daughter of George and Rose A. (Hebert) Turcotte. She attended St. Mary Grammar School and graduated from Franklin High School in 1942.
Prior to retirement, she had been employed by the City of Manchester in School Food and Nutrition Services.
Lillian was a self-taught musician who enjoyed playing the piano and dancing. She played darts and bowled in several local leagues and held membership in the Catholic Daughters of America while residing in Franklin.
She and her husband loved to entertain family and friends at their home and travel together. Above all else, she loved spending time with her grandchildren who held a special place in her heart.
Family members include her husband of 60 years, Clement Lemire of Manchester; four sons, Brent Lemire and his wife Lisa of Litchfield, Bruce Lemire and his wife Edie of Goffstown, Brian Lemire and his wife Vicki of Goffstown, Bradley Lemire and his wife Bettyann of Enfield, CT; her grandchildren, Matthew, Kevin, Ryan, Benjamin, Devin, Stephanie, Brendan, and Christina; two great-grandchildren, Elijah and Noah; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, August 2, 2010 in St. Pius X Church. Committal prayers followed in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd, Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the NH Alzheimer's Association, 1 Bedford Farms Drive, Suite 105, Bedford, NH 03110 or to the Monastery of the Precious Blood, 700 Bridge St, Manchester, NH 03104.
