Lillian C. Mijal, 87, of Manchester, died March 17, 2002, at the Elliot Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Manchester, July 28, 1914, she was the daughter of Oliva and Jeannette (Paquin) Allard. She was a lifelong resident of this city.

Mrs. Mijal was a retired shoe worker.

She was a communicant of St. Catherine Church.

She was married to John Mijal, who died in 1987. In addition, she was predeceased by a brother, Roger Allard.

Family members include 2 daughters, Mrs. Albert (Janet) Caldwell Jr. of Hooksett, and Elizabeth Plante of Portland, ME; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a sister, Laura Kula of Goffstown; nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were March 19, 2002 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated March 20, 2002 in St. Catherine Church. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
