Manchester

Linda L. (Weadick) Callen, 77, of Manchester, NH, died peacefully at home on March 17, 2025, while surrounded by her family, after a long courageous battle with cancer. An extraordinary woman, her life was a testament to love, dedication, and resilience. Linda was a source of support and inspiration to all who knew her.

Linda was born in Winchester, MA on November 14, 1947, the daughter of James and Catherine (Flowers) Weadick. She was raised in Medford, MA and graduated from Medford High School, class of 1966.

Linda embraced life’s changes with grace and optimism. As an Army wife and mother, she navigated 19 moves over a span of 30 years, always creating a happy, warm home filled with love, laughter, delicious food, family and friends. When not caring for others, Linda found joy in quilting and sewing alongside dear friends. She also loved to dance. Her most precious gifts were her humility and the ability to listen with compassion. Linda’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will forever be cherished by her friends and family.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Col. Paul J. Callen USA Ret. of Manchester; her daughter Christine L. Freeman and husband Harry of St. Charles, MO, her son, Paul M. Callen and wife Cristina of Plano, TX; her daughter Eileen Callen, her daughter Kathleen M. Callen of Manchester; her cherished grandchildren, Stephanie and Lauren Freeman, Liam and Ava Callen; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
