Linda Ann Madden, of Goffstown, passed away early Tuesday morning, August 27th, surrounded by family, at the end of a long and courageous battle against cancer. She was 51.

Linda was born in Huntington, NY to George and Jeanne Bulanchuk, the second of three children. She grew up in Northport, NY where she was a star athlete in many sports and graduated from Penn State University in 1983 with a degree in Journalism.

After college, Linda married 2LT Patrick Madden USMC and for the next 12 years, served her country as a military spouse. Linda raised a young family as they moved from base to base, making lifelong friends along the way in duty stations like Quantico, VA, Pensacola, FL, Cherry Point, NC and Yuma, AZ.

At the end of her husband's military service, she moved from Yuma, AZ to Goffstown where she and Patrick raised their family.

Linda had lifelong loves of learning, photography and the outdoors. Throughout her life she provided love and support to her family and friends and encouraged them always to strive for excellence. Her presence would light up and fill a room.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Patrick E. Madden Jr., originally of Moon Twp, PA; two sons, Sean Patrick Madden of Burlington, MA and Daniel Joseph Madden and his wife, Raphaelle, of Goffstown; her mother, Jeanne Bulanchuk of St. George, ME; a sister, Nancy Scott and her husband, Stephen, of Tenants Harbor, ME; a brother, John Bulanchuk of Queens, NY; and eight nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: A private remembrance and celebration of life was held by the family. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, or the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation.
