Lionel E. Soucy, 80, of Manchester died May 6, 2004 at Catholic Medical Center after a sudden illness.
Born in Manchester on August 5, 1923, he was the son of Adelard and Fabiola (Lasante) Soucy. He lived most of his life in Manchester and several years in Laconia.
He worked many years for Sunshine Biscuits Incorporated, Prince Pastry and Wise Snacks Incorporated. In his retirement he worked part-time for Alexander's Supermarket.
Mr. Soucy was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, council 5260. He was also a member of United Commercial Travelers, council 195 and the League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood. He was a longtime communicant of St. Anthony Church.
The family includes his wife of 58 years, Juliette A. (Lafond) Soucy of Manchester; two brothers, Oscar Soucy of Brooksville, FL and C. Arthur Soucy of Manchester; three sisters, Rachel Gagnon of Manchester, Lillian Carreau of Spring Hill, FL and Florence Carey of Marlboro, MA; many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday May 10, 2004 at St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St.. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd..
