Manchester, NH - Lise Antoinette LeBel, 86, passed away on April 19 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 21, 1929 in Meyronne, Saskatchewan, the daughter of Paul and Emilda (Souliere) Piquette. She moved to Montreal when she was 8 years of age, to Lowell, Massachusetts when she was 19 years old, and to Manchester, NH when she married Maurice E. LeBel in 1951. She became a US citizen in 1953.

She was an expert seamstress and wedding dressmaker, and worked at Pandora for several years. She loved cooking, especially French and Chinese, gardening, reading, walking, travel and music. She also loved caring for her children and grandchildren, and shared her knowledge and love of the world and life with them. She will fondly be remembered for her kindness, compassion, sharing and sense of humor.

She was a parishioner of Ste. Therese Church in Manchester for many years, and an active member of Dames de Ste. Anne, before joining the parish of Blessed Sacrament.

She is survived by her brother Jean-Paul Piquette of Montreal and her sister Marquise Dufour Renquin of Dracut, MA, her daughter Lilliane and husband Philip Lauriat of Temple, NH, her daughter Susan and fiance Kevin Bevis of Amherst, NH, her son Roger of Port St. Lucie, FL, granddaughter Ashley LeBel and fiance Sam Dorr, grandson Marshall LeBel, grandson Shawn Lauriat, and great-grandson David Dorr.

She was predeceased by her husband Maurice Ernest LeBel.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, April 24, 2015 at St. Marie Church, Notre Dame Ave. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Lise's name.
