Lois M. Duhamel, 84, a resident of Hillsborough County Nursing Home, died January 20, 2021 after a period of declining health.
Born in Goffstown on February 10, 1936, she was the daughter of the late William, "Red" and Catherine (Onischuk) Wheldon. When Catherine died, at the birth of Lois, she was raised by her stepmother Florence Wheldon, who became her best friend later in life. Lois was a graduate of Weare High School and earned her nursing degree from Sacred Heart School of Nursing.

Lois was very social and adventurous. She enjoyed time spent with her senior group, traveling and playing cards. She also enjoyed attending old home days, parades and watching fireworks in the town of Weare, for many years. Her family was the light of her life and she loved spending time visiting and celebrating with them and her friends. Lois was very kind, caring and compassionate. Above all else, she will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Surviving family members include three daughters, Maureen Billodeau and husband Rickey of Weare, Betty Stogniew and husband Julian, and Denise Thibault and husband Charles of Manchester; two sons, Paul Duhamel of Claremont, and Robert Duhamel of Manchester; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Bob, Bill, and Richard Wheldon; and many nieces and nephews. Lois is predeceased by her sister Dorothy Colby; her brother Frank Wheldon; her granddaughter Christie Fazio; and her grandson, Eric Phaneuf.
