Lorette (Morin) Sousa, 102, of Manchester died December 18th, 2020 at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Manchester on September 8, 1918, she was the daughter of Philias and Ida (St. Germain) Morin. She was educated at St. Edmunds and Bartlett School.
Prior to retirement, she had worked at Pandora Industries for many years. Previously, she had been employed at Chicopee Mills in Manchester.
She married "Libby" Sousa on October 11, 1941.
Lorette enjoyed traveling, sewing, crafts, bowling, reading, crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble and Skip-Bo. Spending time with family was most important to her. She was a member of the Pinardville Lions Club.
She was Goffstown's Boston Post Cane Recipient, and July 22, 2019 was declared Lorette Sousa Day.
She was a longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Libert Sousa.
Family members include her son, Thom Sousa and wife Louise; grandchildren, Justin Sousa and wife Elizabeth, and Eric Sousa; great-grandchildren, Kasey, Julia and Benjamin; In-laws, Georgia Sousa, Cecile Morin, Sid & Norma Sousa, as well as several nieces and nephews who were very dear to her heart.
She was predeceased by her siblings; Laura Lemire, Theresa Pepin, Cecile Grant, Irene Dallaire, Pete Morin, Maurice Morin and Jean Morin.
A private Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in Sacred Heart Church. Encryptment will be with her husband in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
