She was born in Auburn on May 3, 1929 to Joseph and Hermeline (Gagnon) Laliberte. She lived in Manchester and Palm Springs, CA for many years before moving to Hooksett several years ago.
Mrs. Bernier worked for Langley Contract Stitchers, Prevue Products and Allen Bradley Company for many years.
She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Queen City Promenaders.
She enjoyed square dancing, reading, playing cards, games and casino adventures. Most of all, she enjoyed time with her family.
The family includes her husband of 62 years, Donald P. Bernier of Hooksett, seven children, Jeannette Carignan and her husband, Raymond, of Hooksett, Jeannine Gingras and her husband, Robert, of Bow, Ronald Bernier and his wife, Linda, of Hooksett, Robert Bernier and his wife, Patricia, of Virginia Beach, VA, Denise Gendron and her husband, Michel, of Auburn, Donna O'Connor and her husband, Barry, of Derry and Linda Cromwell and her husband, John, of Pinehill, NM; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; four siblings, Simone Ruais of Bedford, Coranna Foreman of Manchester, George Laliberte of Georgia and Pauline Laliberte of New Durham; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by an infant daughter in 1960, and by five siblings, Roger, Robert and Martin Laliberte, and Doris Lacerte and Jacqueline Beaudoin.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at St. Peter Church, 567 Manchester Rd., Auburn. Committal prayers followed at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
