Lorraine (LePine) Callahan died on June 22, 2025. She was the daughter of Edward T. and Lena (Charpentier) LePine and widow of John E. Callahan.
She was born in Manchester and attended local schools, graduating in 1944 from St. Joseph High School for Girls. She worked many years for Ferretti’s Supermarkets and when they closed, she became church secretary at St. Joseph Cathedral.
Her hobbies included sewing, crafts and travel. For many years she taught quilting classes from her home. She was involved with the Red Hatters and active in some of the programs at Prime Time.
She Leaves behind her three daughters, Susan Lambrou of Nashua, Martha Callahan of Peterborough and Nancy Brown of Manchester; one son, David Callahan of Manchester; her four grandchildren, Anthony Violette, Desiree Violette, Eric Biron and Thomas Hebert of Manchester; five great grandchildren, Caitlyn and Chelsea Violette, Charis Neve from Georgia, Tyler Biron from Florida, and Ryan Hebert from Manchester; and her one great- great grandchild, Jolie Neve Brown from Georgia
There will be no calling hours but a Memorial service will be held on Monday, June 30th, 2025 at 10:00am at St. Joseph Cathedral, 145 Lowell St, Manchester, NH 03104. A Committal Service will follow at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St.Vincent de Paul Society at St. Joseph Cathedral , 133 Wayne St. Manchester, NH 03102 Donate - Society of St. Vincent de Paul
