Lorraine T. (Hemond) Gosselin, 88, lifelong resident of Manchester, died on July 17, 2018 at Holy Cross Health Center after a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester, NH on December 17, 1929 to Albert and Antoinette (Provencher) Hemond. She was educated in the local school system.
Lorraine and her husband were operators and co-owners of Standard Fruit, a Manchester business prior to their retirement. After, Lorraine continued to work as a bookkeeper for various businesses in the Manchester area. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Gilbert Gosselin in 2014, her daughter, Jeannine Amlaw, infant son Raymond Gosselin, brother Lionel Hemond, and sister Lillian Proulx.
She leaves behind a daughter, Denise Kassapis and husband Vange of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Lisa Amlaw of Manchester, Steven Amlaw and husband David Schumaker of Manchester, and Scott Kassapis of Ocala, FL; brother Gerry Hemond and wife Doris of Manchester; great granddaughter Alaina Amlaw of Manchester; son in law Robert Amlaw of Manchester; and brother-in-law Norman Proulx of Manchester.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Parish of the Transfiguration, 305 Kelley St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed in the mausoleum at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
