Lorraine C. Hamel

She was born in Auburn, NH, on August 11, 1924, the daughter of Alfred and Matilda (Bourassa) Charest.

Prior to retirement, she had been employed by various local shoe manufacturers.

Lorraine loved to quilt, cook, and above all else, care for her family.

She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years Ernest Albert Hamel in June of this year.

Members of her family include her daughter, Jeannette C. White of Merrimack, NH; one granddaughter, Jessica Wyman and her husband Christopher; three sisters, Yvonne Ellis of Manchester, Anne Currier of Sacramento, CA, and Rachel Currier of Florida; nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday November 13, 2007 in St. Catherine of Siena Church. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
