Lorraine R. (Vincent) Kouletsis, 93, of Manchester died Wednesday, May 15, 2024, of natural causes at Elliot Hospital. She was the daughter of Joseph and Florence Vincent. She was born on December 18, 1930, in Manchester, and was a life-long resident of the city.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, her nine siblings, and her husband, Christos A. Kouletsis, who passed away on May, 4, 2010. They were married on September 3, 1949, and raised three children together.
From a large family, Lorraine is survived by: daughter Christine Kendall (husband Peter) from Hooksett; son Thomas Kouletsis (wife Denee) from Hummelstown, PA; and daughter AnnMarie Kouletsis from Manchester. Also surviving her are grandson Aaron Kendall and family from MO; grandson Alexander Morin (wife Frankie) and great-grandsons Parker and Dakota from Acworth, GA; granddaughter Amy Medina (husband Richard) and great-granddaughters Stella and Gianna Lorraine from Tampa, FL; granddaughters Olivia and Alexia Kouletsis from Hummelstown, PA; and great-granddaughter Audrey McFarland from Hooksett. Additionally, she leaves behind bother-in-law Benjamin Powel from Galveston, TX; sister-in-law Connie Kouletsis from Manchester; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, great-grand nieces and nephews, and a plethora of friends.
Lorraine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. A small business owner, she operated the Jewett Street Day Care for well over 20 years. She enjoyed travel, and upon retirement she and her husband took many domestic and foreign trips, near and far. She especially enjoyed time spent at the beach.
Lorraine was a long-time member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish until it was closed and absorbed by St. Anthony of Padua Church, where she continued her journey of faith until the end.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Lambert Funeral Home, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, NH, 03104. A wake will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, during the hours of 5:00pm to 8:00pm. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated the following day, Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 11:30am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 172 Belmont St. in Manchester. Following the Mass, there will be a procession to NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH, for a 1:30pm graveside prayer and internment with her late husband.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester, NH, 03103.
