Lorraine Rita Morrissette, 89, of Bedford died November 24, 2017 after a sudden illness.
Born in Manchester on June 2, 1928, she was the daughter of Eugene and Laurina (Mailhot) Paquin. Her step-father Henry Vachon helped raise her. She was educated in the local parochial school system.
Prior to retirement, she had worked as a custom shoe stitcher for local shoe companies for many years. She had most recently also volunteered in the gift shop at the Catholic Medical Center.
She enjoyed playing cards and attending events at the senior center. Above all else, she cherished time spent with family.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph A. "Ralph" Morrissette and her son-in-law John Garst. She was also predeceased by siblings Maurice Paquin, Armand Paquin, and Leo "Bill" Vachon.
Family members include her daughter, Diane (Morrissette) Garst of Goffstown; two granddaughters, Charlene Daly and Katherine Garst; her great-grandchildren, Sydney and Wyatt Daly; siblings, Andrew Vachon, Gerry Vachon, Donald Vachon and Yvette Vachon Welch; several nephews, nieces and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in Sacred Heart Church. Encryptment followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
