Louis G. Coltey, 71, of Manchester, died Wednesday August 29, 2018, at Lakes Region Hospital in Laconia after a period of declining health.
He was born on June 1, 1947 in Rutland, VT, the son of Moses and Daisy Bell (Harris) Coltey.
Louis was educated in Vermont. He was employed at UPS for 32 years before retiring in 2006. He started as a package car driver, then went to feeder driver, and finished his career working at the UPS Airport.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards. Above all, Louis enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.
Family includes Louis's beloved wife of 50 years, Theresa (Godin) Coltey of Manchester; five daughters, Angela Canton and husband Gill of Belmont, Nichole Kevas and husband Rob of Polk City, FL, Jacquelyn Fredrickson and husband Todd of Manchester, Natalie Stokem and husband Alan Whipp of Belmont, and Carolyn Coltey of Salem; two sons, Louis Coltey, Jr. and fiancé Rene of Manchester, and Anthony Coltey of Nashua; twenty four grand children; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Fay and Tammy; and one brother, Gary, and wife Connie. He was predeceased by his grandson Jaxxon; four sisters; and two brothers.
