Louis H. Philibotte, 49, of Manchester, died Monday, March 3, 2002, at his residence, after a long illness.
He was born on January 13, 1954. He was the son of Edward, and Almertta, (Chase) Philibotte. He lived in Manchester most of his life.
Louis was a member of both the Passamaquoddy and Abenaki tribes. He was know as "Silver Fox", and was the tribal dancer for the Passamaquoddy tribe.
Louis was an avid woodworker, having made several pieces for both family and friends.
Family members include a daughter, Brittany, and a son, Shawn; two sisters, Judy Philibotte, of Manchester, and Barbara Therrien, of Litchfield; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service was Wednesday March 12, 2003 in the First Baptist Church, 53 Mammoth Rd., Manchester, NH. Pastor Fred Williams did officiate.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., was in charge of arrangements.
