Louise R. Gosselin

Louise R. Gosselin, of Sun City West, AZ, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on March 14, 2017 at the age of 72.

She was born on August 17, 1944 in Manchester, NH. She was the fourth of six children born to George A. Lavallee and Alida A. Marier Lavallee. For a portion of her life she lived in Hooksett. She was a parishioner of St. George Church and Sacred Heart Church, both in Manchester.

She is predeceased by her parents and a brother, Roland Lavallee. She leaves her loving husband of 40 years, Ronald R. Gosselin; her three children, Coreena Gosselin Foster of Roseburg, OR, Charleen Nikias of Weare and Allain Gosselin of Sun City West, AZ; her six stepdaughters: Colette Leavitt of Hooksett, Michelle Gosselin and Monique Gosselin Faucher both of Manchester, Celine Gosselin of Hooksett, Nicole Spinosa of Deerfield and Celeste Gosselin of Hampstead; twelve grandchildren, Micheala Foster, Amanda and Sara Nikias, Greg and Cody Lemire, Thomas Faucher and Katelynn Faucher Boisselle, Ashley Gould Nelson and Matthew Gould, Laurie and Nicholas Spinosa, Tyler Gosselin; three great grandchildren, Easton and Olivia Nelson and Travis Faucher; two brothers, Jean Lavallee of Merrimack and Paul Lavallee of Hooksett; two sisters, Madeline Boucher and Laurette Jolin both of Manchester; and many nieces and nephews.

In her life she belonged to the Ladies of Ste. Anne Solidarity of Sacred Heart Parish. She was also a member and treasurer of the Richelieu Club for Women.

One of her greatest accomplishments was becoming the co-owner of Mother Goose's Family Restaurant in Manchester along with her husband. She was known as Mother Goose to her patrons. In Sun City West, AZ she attended church at Prince of Peace and Our Lady of Lords.

Louise found great joy in gourmet cooking, cake decorating, most especially wedding cakes. Hairdressing was one of her many talents. She enjoyed gardening, reading and sewing. She found solace at the beach. She loved to dance and sing. Her laughter was contagious. On holidays her home was always open to anyone who had no place to go. Her saying was "it is more blessed to give than it is to receive".

Louise loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known as "Grandmama" and nothing pleased her more than making them laugh and feel loved.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday May 26, 2017 at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
